Daniel A. Marquez

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer


Dan is a leader in Accenture’s Strategy practice, focusing on Technology, Disruptive Innovation, and Consumer Facing Industries. He brings to UCG nearly a decade of consulting experience, working as a trusted advisor to senior executives across every major industry area, including many in the charitable and non-profit (NFP) sector. His vision for UCG is to establish a nationwide support network, focused on helping the Canadian NFP sector flourish through access to effective strategic planning and advisory services.

Darrin Gao, PhD

Chief Financial Officer


Darrin is a consultant at Deloitte Digital where he focuses on healthcare technology and digital transformation. He holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of Toronto, where he developed novel breast cancer therapeutics. As the co-founder and CFO of UCG, Darrin drives the initiation of new financial partnerships with academic and industry organizations. Darrin has successfully established and maintained a strategic partnership with the Graduate Management Consulting Association. In his spare time, Darrin continues to improve his literacy in personal finance, horology and emerging technologies.

Jinke Xu, PhD

Chief Operations Officer


Jinke holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from McGill University. He is currently working at IQVIA as a Consultant, specialized in commercial effectiveness strategy in the pharmaceutical and healthcare space. Jinke is passionate about helping non-profit organizations develop strategic business plans and improve operations. He has gained extensive experience through several pro bono engagements with large Canadian non-profits.

Kevin P. Raymond

Chief Experience Officer


Kevin is part of Accenture’s Strategy practice focused on Technology Strategy. He has experience in a range of industries, including financial services, retail, and the not-for-profit space. Prior to Accenture, Kevin has held several diverse roles ranging from banking to product development strategy to academic research. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and in his spare time you’ll find him curating his collection of rare beers and wines or planning his next dive trip.

Helen Luck, PhD

Chief Marketing Officer


Helen is a PhD candidate in the Department of Immunology at UofT. Her research focuses on gut immune dysfunction in type 2 diabetes. Helen has consulted for several non-profits in the Toronto community prior to her role as VP Operations at the UofT Chapter. As CMO, Helen aims to share and celebrate the impact achieved by all UCG chapters in the non-profit community. She is passionate about supporting the growth of the organization and driving impact in the non-profit sector as a whole.

Alex Trusca

Chief Strategic Officer, General Counsel


Alex is a Business Consultant at ZS Associates. He has graduated with an MBA from the Rotman School of Management and also holds an LLB from the University of Manchester and an LLM from the University of Toronto.

Within UCG, Alex has led a team as Engagement Manager and then went to serve as Executive Director focused on client acquisition and client retention. In his role as CSO and GC, he is focused on the expansion of UCG as well as shaping its corporate governance.

Bahareh Tehrani

Chief Customer Officer


Bahareh is a Business Analyst at Labtician, a Pharmaceutical company in Oakville, Ontario. She is also pursuing an MEng degree in industrial engineering at University of Toronto. Prior to this program, she has completed her MASc degree in Management Sciences at University of Waterloo as well as Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering at Iran University of Science and Technology. She is passionate about bringing positive change and new perspectives to the non-profit industry.

Renante Rondina, PhD

Director, Strategic Growth


Renante is a PhD candidate in the department of Psychology at UofT. He uses eye tracking and magnetoencephalography to study memory and aging. He was a member of the Research Training Centre at the Roman Research Institute for 3 years, where he founded the Innovative Perspectives in Neuroscience Conference. He was also a consultant at UCG, where he worked on an internal project to help them transition into a chapter model.

Adam Yates

Director, Corporate Governance


Adam will graduate in May 2018 with his MBA from the Rotman School of Management where he is specializing in management consulting. He holds an undergraduate degree in applied science from Queen’s University and prior to graduate school, Adam worked for six years in consulting in support of land development in global infrastructure and building design firms. Adam was a team lead with UCG and is passionate about using business solutions to help the not-for-profit sector.

Anne Deng

Director, Client Relations


Anne is a senior engineer in the New Technology group at Hydro One, and concurrently pursuing a MBA degree at Rotman School of Management. She is passionate about creating innovative solutions and driving changes in organizations. She has done pro-bono consulting at both UCG and Endeavour, and is dedicated to driving impact in the not-for-profit space.

Yalena Sun

Director, Advisor Relations


Yalena is part of the Transformation & Major Programs Group at the Royal Bank of Canada. She just graduated from the University of Toronto Rotman Commerce with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Economics. She has engaged in various pro-bono consulting engagements both in and outside of Canada. She is passionate about consulting and helping businesses solve complex problems. She strives to create impact in the NFP sector in order to better serve our community.

David Wang

Director, Technology & Operations


David Wang is a Data Scientist at the Royal Bank of Canada. He is currently pursuing his CFA Charter and is completing his Bachelor of Applied Science in Financial Engineering at the University of Toronto. As Vice-President of Operations, he works on the development and implementation of the organization's operations and works closely with the CMO to deliver strategic marketing initiatives and drive organizational growth.

Meng Zhang

Director, Marketing


Meng is a Master of Science Candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences at UofT researching Wnt signalling in pancreatic cancer. She has worked on multiple engagements with UCG, both as a consultant and an engagement manager. Meng is curious about impact Investing, social media marketing and food blogging (you can find her on instagram @Mengtrealaise). She is excited to bridge together her numerous interests in her role of Marketing Director and help build UCG as a leader in pro-bono consulting.
